But the last years I've seen posts around the internet about downloading from usenet etc etc but in my memory usenet was just newsgroups and communities, not an alternative to torrents. While it may be a bit complicated to configure and to get familiar with, it is well worth the effort. It is available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux. I prefer to download off of Usenet over Torrents, so I set up my profile to look like the one below. This will download from Usenet if the file is available on both.
